Yoga with John Reaves

In ancient times, the practice of asanas (yoga positions) were used to prepare one to sit in meditation, seeking oneness with God/Universe and invoking spiritual awakening.

Exercise Without Movement is a series of yogic practices with benefits exceeding ordinary muscular movement. They are subtle exercises that vitalize muscles, senses, nervous system, and mind. Exercise Without Movement is a systematic method; allowing the practitioner to travel along the pathways of action, from mind to muscle. The process is carefully observed, and the health of each link in the process is promoted. Now you can feel better without straining muscles or hurting recent or previous injuries. Great for back and disc pain.

John A. Reaves teaches Yoga in the Himalayan Tradition; an authentic living meditative tradition that dates back more than 7000 years. He is a student of Yogarishi Deolal Mahabir, a direct disciple of Sri Swami Rama of the Himalayas. Swami Rama brought Exercise without Movement technique to the West in the 1970′s.

John took up yoga after suffering with herniated discs in his neck that radiated throughout his neck, shoulders, back and legs resulting in sciatica and severe headaches. When the Pain Management doctor wanted to perform cervical injections and surgery, John took the initiative to learn how to heal his pain using natural therapies.
